Pearls with their shimmering lustre have fascinated people for thousands of years and inspire dreams. They are magical, mystical and sensual and are considered powerful symbols.

Genuine pearls grow inside oysters - natural pearls as well as cultured pearls. All processes take place in the same way: layer by layer, the oyster encases a foreign body for years until shiny mother-of-pearl emerges. The longer the pearl grows in the protected interior of the oyster, the larger it becomes.

Today, pearl farmers make sure that pearls grow in the shells and nurture them for years. The pearls used in Célia von Barchewitz's jewellery are cultured pearls of the finest quality. As they are a natural product, minimal growth characteristics can be found in individual pearls.

HANDMADE in Germany

Célia von Barchewitz's pearl manufactory is based in Germany. This is where the unique bracelets, necklaces and necklaces are created from selected cultured pearls in various colours.

These pearls are bought directly from breeders and pearl dealers in the Philippines. Personal contact with the suppliers is particularly important to the designer in order to be able to guarantee sustainable production, fair working conditions and high-quality goods on site.
